The Past- A Reflection for the Future
Mistakes are like blessing for the future. People commit mistakes and tend to mourn over it. They do not understand that downfall is important in life. It leads to success and helps a person achieve their goals. History has stories which inspire us. The very significance of the study of the past is to gain invaluable information about the mistakes our ancestors made and us to learn from those mistakes. The artist who made the leaning tower of Pisa made a mistake in making the foundation of the tower. He thought he would be criticized by the people hence he committed suicide. But now the leaning tower of Pisa is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world. Even big organizations make mistakes like Union Soviet Socialist Republics sold Alaska to United States of America for 7 million dollars thinking it is worthless but now it is one of the most profitable places in United States of America. Albert Einstein once said, “Someone who has never made a mistake has never done something new.” So one should tear up the list of mistakes but take a list of lessons learned from it and use it as you form your plans for the future. You have paid dearly for those lessons; do not let them go in vain.
