The Past- A Lesson for the Future
We are other judged, labeled and framed for the mistakes we make in the past. But in turn these mistakes help us to mould our future towards a better, more improved way of life.
This philosophy is something that needs to be learnt from. For example, a couple of years back this world witnessed the fall of over-confidence, one of the most heart-wrenching, tragic incidents. The sinking of the Titanic. The Titanic’s maiden voyage; the builders were confident that she wouldn’t sink. State of the art ship, with the best of luxuries of that time, hit an iceberg and sunk to the bottom of the dark waters. This was a lesson for the world. Everyone realised being over-confident helps no one. Now in the modern, 21st century people are becoming more aware and taking conscious steps towards safety at sea. More safety measures are being made and taken into consideration, for a more secure future. Thus our past is always a lesson for us to learn and grow from our mistakes. Our past maybe scarred, burnt and really messed up but we need to realise that what’s done is done. There is no way that anything is going to change. What can be done is the molding and precaution that can be taken so that the past is not repeated.
The future is uncertain, but it is sure destined; taking lessons and moving forward makes us more aware. Like for athletes if they don’t win or lose, they still strive harder for the future. They make amends and learn from their past errors. They have a greater perspective and a larger vision instead of losing spirit. They have sportsmanship. Similarly with students if they fail in an exam, they strive harder to pass and eventually succeed. So we always learn and carry on, towards a much brighter future with an active step towards better lives.
